Album Description

2018 marks the 40th anniversary of Plankton Records which launched on May 6th 1978 with the release of “Mirrored Dreams” by founding partner Simon Law’s (then) band.

Having compiled an album in 1998 to mark the 20th anniversary the partners Keith Dixon and (the now Rev) Simon Law decided to create and release this second volume to mark years 21 to 40. However, the first 4 tracks on this album are from the first 20 years and were, for various reasons, not included on the First 20 Years album but the partners wanted to include them here to make the overall 40th anniversary compilations complete in their eyes.

Plankton’s overriding desire and aim is to support artists who are keen to get out in front of people and communicate something  of the Christian faith and/or comment on the world in which we live through their music. It’s always been about the message behind the music and not the music’s style or genre. Hence the wide range of musical styles that are featured on this celebration of the music of Plankton Records
