Plankton announce CD sale

Plankton Records have announced their “Sizzling Summer CD Sale” which will start on Friday 1st August and will run for the entire month of August.

A number of selected CD titles will be offered with prices starting from only £3.99 (all prices include P&P to anywhere in the world).All titles incouded in the sale will have at least £2 off compared to the regular price

Plankton Records’ Keith Dixon stated “We’ve never done a proper sale before so we are excited about what August may bring. There are some fantastic CD titles included in the sale and with some titles being offered at only £3.99 we hope we can tempt plenty of people to explore Plankton’s music and discover themselves a gem or two!”

Each CD that will be included in the sale will be indicated by a small green ‘Sale!’ roundal on the album cover image and the regular price will be crossed through with the sale price clearly stated next to it. Keith added “These prices will only be around for a month, and, if there’s a big response, while stocks last (for some titles),  so please don’t delay. The sales prices will automatically appear on the website on Friday 1st August”

Vivienne Neville – the DJ

Plankton Records artist Vivienne Neville is about to become a DJ on Midlands based UK radio station Eternal Radio.

Vivienne Neville playing keyboards in band showcase event

As well as her solo work with Plankton Records, Vivienne is currently playing keyboards for the Gospel band “The Risen”. Vivienne informed us, “A Major Record Label A & R Rep contacted the band recently (Representing 2 Major Record Labels) and is coming along to a Showcase event that we’ve organised on this coming Saturday Night to hear & watch us “The Risen” live. The band will be performing between 6-8.00pm on 19th July at St Aiden’s Centre, Clifton Street, Middlesborough, TS1 4BZ. We would really love and appreciate people coming along if they’re free to support us and add to the atmosphere for this important event. It’s our hope & prayer that we will be able to take the message of the Gospel, through Gospel Music, even further afield into the UK & beyond. This Showcase has been set up at the record label’s request. So, we have been in full-time rehearsals for 4 weeks working very hard. The event will consist of Gospel Classics alongside the band’s our own lively authentic style. Jesus is already Famous, this is the band’s offering to spread the Gospel a little further in our corner of the world. Please pray for this opportunity for the band & support us if you can, either in person or by prayer!”

New Liz Clarke video

We’ve just posted a new video of Liz Clarke’s beautiful atmospheric version of the traditional folk song “Red Red Rose”.

The song features a sparse guitar arrangement which was written, performed (and produced) by Paul Mcilwaine and it perfectly backs Liz’s trademark pure and clear vocals.

This is the 2nd video of a song taken from her latest album DESTINY which features a wide range of musical styles and genres, including one other equally beautiful traditional folk song.

Echo feature in Festival video

The brilliant KingsStock Festival which takes part in Cambridgeshire annually have posted a great video to YouTube showing this year’s fantastic line up of performers.

Amongst those featured are our very own ECHO who will be playing on the big stage at 5.00pm on Saturday 30th August and they’d love to see you there.
